The annual WoolOn Awards are one of Central Otago’s most exciting events attracting local and international fashion designers who showcase how wool can be used creatively in fashion. Along with continuing to build the profile of our annual awards, WoolOn is focused on delivering an inspiring education programme to educate the public about wool-based craft and design as well as helping designers to advance their skills.
We are looking for an energetic and passionate Communications Co-ordinator to join our team to deliver communications and promotional material for our annual WoolOn Awards and Educational programme.
The successful applicant will be a proactive, hands-on and enthusiastic Communications professional who demonstrates:
A strong record in building relationships with key stakeholders, including the media
Experience in print, digital and social media platforms and processes
An ability to work autonomously, organise, plan and manage communication processes efficiently
Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
An ability to work under pressure, with proven experience in event-related communications and promotion
This is a fixed term contract role. Hours are flexible and the successful candidate will be required to work from home.
