Rural Women New Zealand renews primary sponsorship

WoolOn is delighted to confirm the continuation of their partnership with Rural Women New Zealand as primary sponsors of the 2018 WoolOn Awards.

The partnership began in 2017 with both organisations realising a shared commitment to creating a strong visual link between the rural sectors production of wool and the creative use of wool as a quality fashion fibre.

“Rural Women New Zealand is thrilled to be the primary sponsor for the WoolOn Awards. We see it as an exciting opportunity to help develop the skills of new and experienced designers while also promoting wool - a fibre that is close to the hearts of many of our members”, says Fiona Gower, RWNZ National President.

Rural Women New Zealand plays an integral part in the growth and development of rural communities. They support their members through learning opportunities and connections, and offer their authoritative rural voice to drive positive change for rural communities.

WoolOn Co-Chair Karla Sanders said that: “The strong role Rural Women New Zealand has in supporting our local communities provides a benchmark for WoolOn as we focus on delivering high-quality events and programmes that showcase wool design and help designers to advance their skills”.

“Our annual Award night is the pinnacle event for our organisation offering audiences a visual extravaganza of fashion garments using wool in a variety of ways. It constantly stuns us just how creative our designers are year-on-year.”

This year’s annual WoolOn Awards will be held Friday August 17- Saturday August 18 in Alexandra, Central Otago. Entries to the Awards close on Monday, 30 April 2018.
